  • In a medium-size mixing bowl, combine water, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, onion, and brown sugar. Whisk until well combined.

  • Pour sauce mixture into Instant Pot. Make sure to get all the brown sugar out of the bottom of the bowl too.
  • Add the chicken to Instant Pot and coat in sauce.

  • Cook on high for 12 minutes.
  • Quick-release steam.
  • Turn on saute setting and begin simmering and reducing the sauce.
  • While reducing the sauce, remove chicken pieces and place them on a nonstick foil-lined baking sheet.
  • Broil chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side, use caution to not burn the chicken.
  • Once the sauce has reduced, plate chicken, cover in sauce and serve.
