Instructions
Rinse the sassafras leaves and let them air dry completely.
Grind the sassafras leaves into a fine powder using a spice grinder or a clean coffee grinder.
In a small bowl, mix together the ground sassafras powder, thyme, basil, oregano, rosemary, marjoram, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
Store the file powder in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
