  • In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, walnuts, grated Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped.
  • With the food processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil and continue to process until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
  • Transfer the mixture to a small mixing bowl and stir in the salt and black pepper. Ensure that the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  • Spread the pesto mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place it in a 200°F oven for 20-30 minutes, or until completely dry.
  • Remove the dried pesto from the oven and crumble it into a fine powder using your fingers or a mortar and pestle.
  • Transfer the pesto seasoning to an airtight container, such as a small jar, and store it in a cool, dry place until you're ready to use it.
