Well, Lekuchen (German) translates to Gingerbread. Lebkuchen is typically found in German cookies, it is a cakey, chewy cookie that tastes very similar to gingerbread. A lot of these cookies are iced with different flavored icing, such as lemon zest icing.
WHAT DOES THIS HOMEMADE LEBKUCHEN TASTE LIKE?
Lebkuchen tastes very similar to gingerbread cookies. However, when you bake traditional German Lebkuchen cookies, they are softer, and a little bit chewier than gingerbread. Also, Lebkuchen cookies are glazed instead of served plain.
