Give your boring burgers a burst of flavor! Use this easy Homemade Burger Seasoning and elevate up your backyard grilling game!
Hamburger meat can be pretty bland. Your run-of-the-mill ground beef lacks flavor. Sure, you could go all out and get bison, or whatever, but most of us outside of Montana don’t always have that option. So, instead, we take the humble beef home and add a little something-something to it.
This burger seasoning will add a garlic and saltiness that your average homecooked burger usually lacks. Make a double batch of this and keep it in a sealed jar, that way you can quickly add to your ground and be chowing down on a delicious burger just in time for kick off, or dress up a busy Tuesday night dinner with the fam.
Like most seasoning blends, this spice mix is not meant to be eaten by the spoonful. It is best used by working into the ground beef before you make the patties, or sprinkling it on top of the burger patties before you grill them (or fry them in the pan, depending on your preference).
Since this recipe only takes a couple of minutes to make, you can make it right before you are ready to cook your burgers, or you can make a batch and have it on hand for a convenient seasoning in your pantry.
Absolutely! I like to have a jar of this burger spice mix and all sorts of homemade seasonings on hand for whenever the craving strikes.
As a rule of thumb, when making spice blends: the earliest expiration date on your ingredients is now the new expiration date for your homemade hamburger spice mixes.
I use this burger spice blend pretty much for making amazing hamburgers. It is delicious, but not as versatile as something like Pumpkin Spice Seasoning.
