HOMEMADE CELERY SALT RECIPE
WHAT IS CELERY SALT?
Celery Salt is a seasoning blend that provides not only saltiness but an added level of flavor without being too overpowering. It works best with dishes that are a little bit lacking in flavor. For instance, imagine potato salad without savory flavors. The seasoning also compliments dishes that have a lot of carrots or onions in them, like the base of a vegetable broth. It is also commonly used to rim the glass for a bloody mary.
WHAT DOES THIS HOMEMADE CELERY SALT TASTE LIKE?
Celery Salt for the most part tastes like salt, however, there is a bit of a “green” earthy bite to it, thanks to the crushed celery seed. Some people might even say that it has a slight peppery taste to it as well.
