HOMEMADE COFFEE CHILE SPICE RUB RECIPE
WHAT IS A COFFEE CHILE SPICE RUB?
Dry rubs are a great way to add flavor to your cut of beef, without masking the natural flavors already there. When you cover a steak in sauce once it is plated, you are really tasting more of the sauce than the steak. It seems that the steak is just used as a vehicle for the sauce. Dry rubs don’t mask, they enhance.
WHAT DOES THIS CHILE INSTANT COFFEE RUB RECIPE TASTE LIKE?
If you are not a fan of coffee flavors, don’t worry, this spice blend, though loaded with coffee grounds, does not really taste like coffee. The coffee, when mixed with the brown sugar and cocoa powder, acts as a charring agent. Your steak will have nice crispy/seared outside that holds in all the juices. With the cayenne pepper, there will be a bit of spice, but again, not so much that you would be shedding tears.
