A French favorite in a small sandwich form! These Chicken Cordon Bleu Sliders are a vacation on a plate! C’est délicieux!
One of the things about French cooking that I love is that it tastes as though it has been cooked all day. The food is bursting with flavor, and is oh so satisfying! What if it were possible to get those same levels of flavors in a fraction of the time? I present to you: Chicken Cordon Bleu Sliders
Cordon Bleu is a dish that includes meat wrapped around cheese or sliced open and filled with cheese, then breaded and fried. Since we are making sliders here, it is a little difficult to just shrink down the ingredients, so we adapted a little here. The same flavors are used as the traditional French dish, however, they are layered and loaded into some King’s Hawaiian Slider Rolls.
Think of these as little, hot, ham and cheese sandwiches, generously coated in garlic butter. These little savory sandwiches are ridiculously tasty.
Just because these sliders have a fancy name, and French cooking has a reputation for being complex and time-consuming, doesn’t mean that this recipe is hard to make! Just stack some ingredients, and brush with butter! The oven will be doing most of the work with this one.
You can make these sliders earlier in the day if you are bringing them to a gathering. You could either reheat them in an oven or give them a quick zap in the microwave. If you go with the microwave, cover the sandwiches with a paper towel or paper napkin to prevent the rolls from hardening as they cook.
You can freeze these chicken sliders. Just make sure you seal them up in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn or to keep the slider buns from drying out.
If you are having these for a small family dinner, then perhaps some french fries, or a potato salad. Though small, these sliders are very filling. Looking for some other great slider recipes for a crowd? Make sure you check these out:
1. A food processor (optional)
