GOLDEN OREO COBBLER RECIPE

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Not all delicious desserts have to take forever to make. They don’t have to be overly complicated. And they definitely shouldn’t stress you out while you are cooking them! This Golden Oreo Cobbler falls into the realm of desserts that are so simple, yet, oh so tasty! Pour ingredients into a pan, slice butter, and try not to eat the whole thing by yourself. It’s that simple.

WHAT IS OREO COBBLER?

I call it Oreo Cobbler because that’s pretty much the only name I can think of. It is a combination of Oreo cookies and cake. You simply layer all the ingredients on top of each other and bake it. It is very sweet, and very decadent. A little goes a long way.

WHAT DOES COOKIE CAKE TASTE LIKE?

This sweet, caky, dessert only has a few flavors, but they combine to make a rather rich dessert. There is plenty of vanilla flavor from the cookies, cake, and whipped topping. It is moist, thanks to the condensed milk. And hint of savory from the butter. It hits on all the notes that an awesome dessert should have!

CAN YOU MAKE VANILLA OREO COBBLER AHEAD OF TIME?

Yes! You can make this dessert ahead of time. It is best enjoyed warm, but, I have also had it at room temperature, and even out of the refrigerator. Make it ahead of time and bring it to a potluck, or save it for dessert at a tailgate party! Just keep it covered with aluminum foil until you are ready to enjoy it. It will keep in the refrigerator for a few days.

CAN YOU FREEZE OREO COBBLER?

You can freeze Oreo Cobbler in an airtight container. When you are ready to enjoy it, take it out and let it warm up to room temperature.
