WHAT IS A SHREDDED CHICKEN SLIDER?

This slider is a blend of tropical and Asian Pacific flavors. The Sriracha Sauce originated in Thailand and blends perfectly with the tropical pineapple tidbits.

WHAT DO THESE SHREDDED CHICKEN SLIDERS TASTE LIKE?

These sliders have a great balance of heat and sweetness. Throw in some savory for good measure. The Sriracha brings a spiciness that is noticeable but not overpowering. The pineapple tidbits add little pockets of tropical sweetness. And, the shredded chicken not only adds the savory flavors but makes this little sandwich remarkably filling. 

SHREDDED CHICKEN SLIDER INGREDIENTS

  • Shredded baked chicken breast – 1 1/2 cups
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese – 1 cup
  • Pineapple tidbits (drained) – 1 cup
  • Mayonnaise – 1/2 cup
  • Sriracha sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layers Sweet Hawaiian Biscuits – one 16.3 oz. can
  • Butter – 1 tablespoon

HOW TO MAKE THIS SHREDDED CHICKEN SLIDERS RECIPE

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, pineapple tidbits, mayonnaise, and Sriracha sauce. Mix until well combined.
  4. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into three strips. Flatten strips into 4×2-inch rectangles. Place one heaping tablespoonful of spicy shredded chicken mixture on one half of each dough rectangle. Fold dough over the top of the chicken, however, do not seal the dough shut. Arrange sliders on the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
  6. Brush biscuits with melted butter, and let stand for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve warm, and enjoy!

CAN YOU MAKE SLIDERS WITH SHREDDED CHICKEN AHEAD OF TIME?

Sure, you can assemble these sandwiches earlier in the day or even the evening before. Then bake them shortly before you are ready to eat. Just cover them with aluminum foil to keep everything from drying out.

CAN YOU FREEZE SHREDDED CHICKEN SLIDERS?

You can freeze these shredded chicken sliders. Just make sure to seal them up in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn.
