This slider is a blend of tropical and Asian Pacific flavors. The Sriracha Sauce originated in Thailand and blends perfectly with the tropical pineapple tidbits.
These sliders have a great balance of heat and sweetness. Throw in some savory for good measure. The Sriracha brings a spiciness that is noticeable but not overpowering. The pineapple tidbits add little pockets of tropical sweetness. And, the shredded chicken not only adds the savory flavors but makes this little sandwich remarkably filling.
Sure, you can assemble these sandwiches earlier in the day or even the evening before. Then bake them shortly before you are ready to eat. Just cover them with aluminum foil to keep everything from drying out.
You can freeze these shredded chicken sliders. Just make sure to seal them up in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn.
Sliders are usually flavorful and filling enough to be served on their own, and these chicken sandwiches are no different! Garlic Potato Wedges would go well with these, or perhaps some fruit salad.
