WHAT IS PUMPKIN PIE SEASONING?
Though not limited to just traditional pumpkin pie recipes, it is used to strengthen the flavors in a pie or give an autumn kick to a latte. The spice blend has distinct flavors that are commonly associated with the fall, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.

WHAT DOES THIS HOMEMADE PUMPKIN PIE SPICE TASTE LIKE?
Pumpkin Pie Spice has a great, bold flavor, and a little can go a long way. You will taste the cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg all at once. It has a slight hint of spice to it (hence the name) thanks to the ginger and nutmeg. It is best used in sweet recipes.

- Ground allspice – 1 1/2 tablespoons
- Ground cinnamon – 1/2 cup
- Ground cloves – 1 1/2 teaspoons
- Ground ginger – 1/4 cup
- Ground nutmeg – 2 1/2 tablespoons
HOW TO MAKE THIS PUMPKIN PIE SPICE RECIPE
- In a small mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients.
- Using a small whisk, or fork, stir all the ingredients until well combined.
- Use promptly, or store in an airtight container for future use.

Absolutely! I like to have a jar of this pumpkin spice mix and all sorts of homemade seasonings on hand for whenever the craving strikes.
As a rule of thumb, when making spice blends: the earliest expiration date on your ingredients is now the new expiration date for your homemade pumpkin pie blend.
