Breakfast sandwiches are a great menu item when it comes to meal prepping. Mornings at the House Hunk household can get a little hectic, especially during the school year. It is nice to reach into the refrigerator, grab something hearty, zap it in the microwave, and a minute later be able to serve up a hot, filling breakfast for the kids. These Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Sliders are a simple meal to make in advance and loaded with protein to keep everyone moving in the morning.

WHAT IS A BREAKFAST SLIDER?
A breakfast slider is a mini breakfast sandwich. There are variations, you can have bacon, sausage, with eggs, or even go wild and have Monte Cristo Sliders. These particular slider sandwiches are almost a complete meal. They are loaded with protein and quite filling for their size.

WHAT DOES THIS MAPLE SAUSAGE BREAKFAST SLIDER TASTE LIKE?
These tiny sandwiches are both savory and sweet. The savoriness is mainly from the sausage, with a pinch of spice. And then you get a subtle sweetness from the maple syrup brushed across the top of the bread.

SAUSAGE, EGG, AND CHEESE BREAKFAST SLIDERS INGREDIENTS
- 12 King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
- Precooked sausage patties – 12
- Eggs – 12
- Colby Jack cheese – 9 slices
- Butter – 3 tablespoons
- Maple Syrup – 1/4 cup

HOW TO MAKE KING'S HAWAIIAN BREAKFAST SAUSAGE SLIDERS
These breakfast sandwich sliders are very easy to make and require minimal effort.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Scramble eggs, and pour into a 9 x 13 nonstick baking pan
- Bake eggs for 20 minutes, or until eggs are fully cooked.
- Remove eggs from the oven, and cut into 12 portions similar to cutting up brownies.
- Cut Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, and place the bottom half of the rolls in a nonstick 9 x 13 baking pan.
- Place a portion of eggs and one sausage patty on each piece of bread, top with cheese slices and Hawaiian roll tops.
- In a microwave in 30-second bursts, melt butter. Stir syrup into melted butter, and pour/brush across the tops of sliders.
- Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until heated throughout and she’s is completely melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

Yes, you can freeze these breakfast sandwiches. Just make sure you wrap them up in an airtight freezer bag or container to prevent them from getting freezer burned.
