This buttery, sticky-sweet Monkey Bread recipe is my go-to when I need an easy-to-make treat for the kids.

Monkey Bread is no different, a little slicing and stirring are all that it takes to look like a pro in the kitchen! WHAT IS MONKEY BREAD?
Monkey bread is a soft, gooey, sticky-sweet pastry. It is made with biscuits and is a pull-apart style bread covered in cinnamon and sugar. It can either be baked in a bundt pan, a baking dish, or even in muffin tin cups.
WHAT DOES THE BEST MONKEY BREAD TASTE LIKE?
Monkey bread is a doughy and sweet breakfast treat. Since there are only a few ingredients in this recipe, you can almost taste all of them in each bite. You get the brown sugar and additional sweetness from the plain granulated sugar. There is a cinnamon note, and lots of butter, yum!
MONKEY BREAD WITH BISCUITS INGREDIENTS
- Granulated sugar – 1/2 cup
- Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
- Pillsbury Grands biscuits – 2 cans
- Light brown sugar – 1 cup
- Butter – 3/4 cup
HOW TO MAKE THIS MONKEY BREAD RECIPE
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Coat a 9 x 13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a gallon Ziploc bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Add biscuit pieces to the sugar mixture in the Ziploc bag and shake to coat completely.
- Pour sugar and cinnamon-coated biscuit pieces into the casserole dish and arrange evenly. Sprinkle with any remaining sugar.
- In a small bowl mix brown sugar and melted butter, and pour over biscuit pieces.
- Bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for about five minutes, and serve warm.
CAN YOU MAKE CINNAMON MONKEY BREAD AHEAD OF TIME?
You can make monkey bread in advance, though it is best served, fresh, hot, and gooey! If you are going to make it ahead of time, store it in an airtight container to prevent any moisture from escaping.
CAN YOU FREEZE MONKEY BREAD?
You can freeze monkey bread! As long as it is in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn. If you are going to reheat monkey bread in the microwave, cover it with a paper towel or paper napkin to prevent the bread from drying out and getting hard.
WHAT TO SERVE WITH MONKEY PULL-APART BREAD?
