This buttery, sticky-sweet Monkey Bread recipe is my go-to when I need an easy-to-make treat for the kids.
Making recipes with refrigerated biscuits is a simple way to bring the “wow factor” to the table. They are buttery, and flaky, and make many quick recipes seem like you spent all day cooking them. Monkey Bread is no different, a little slicing and stirring are all that it takes to look like a pro in the kitchen! Next time you are cruising through the grocery store, grab a roll or two of biscuits and get your creative juices flowing!

Monkey bread is a soft, gooey, sticky-sweet pastry. It is made with biscuits and is a pull-apart style bread covered in cinnamon and sugar. It can either be baked in a bundt pan, a baking dish, or even in muffin tin cups.
Monkey bread is a doughy and sweet breakfast treat. Since there are only a few ingredients in this recipe, you can almost taste all of them in each bite. You get the brown sugar and additional sweetness from the plain granulated sugar. There is a cinnamon note, and lots of butter, yum!
You can make monkey bread in advance, though it is best served, fresh, hot, and gooey! If you are going to make it ahead of time, store it in an airtight container to prevent any moisture from escaping.
You can freeze monkey bread! As long as it is in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn. If you are going to reheat monkey bread in the microwave, cover it with a paper towel or paper napkin to prevent the bread from drying out and getting hard.
Monkey Bread can be served on its own, or as part of a larger breakfast or brunch buffet. If you want to add to the spread, check out these recipes:
